After 12 years (or so)...

this family FINALLY has a family picture! This is my cousin, Lisa, and her wonderful family. Lisa has been talking about getting family pictures for forever it seems, but when it comes to the day to take pictures she always backs out. I mean her youngest son is 11 (??) for crying out loud and they haven't had pictures since before he was born, which is absolutely ridiculous if you ask me. So I wouldn't listen to any of her excuses this time and even went to her up in Prescott so she wouldn't change her mind. I think that she is going to LOVE the results.

I have to say that I fell in love with this barn that is next to the house they are building when I first saw it about a year ago. I knew that was where I wanted to take pictures. All the neighbors laughed that we were taking pictures by the neighborhood "eyesore", but man if I could haul this away I would make it my studio! I guess one person's trash truly is another person's treasure. I am hoping that their minds might be changed about this barn once they see the pictures. Then again, maybe not, not everyone can have good taste like me :).

Tyler tried to make me promise that I wouldn't put a picture of him on my blog so that just made me want to post pictures of him even more! He has bugged me enough in life so I have to take any chance I can get to get a little payback.

I couldn't have a post without a picture of Katie. She is the reason that Lisa finally decided it was time for a picture. Katie is heading to India (I believe she is on a plane as I am writing this) for a YEAR to teach science to 9-10 year old girls at an orphanage. I am still in a little bit of shock that she is headed there, but I know that she will make such a difference to everyone she meets while she is there. Good luck, Katie! We all love you very much!

I am still amazed as I look at these pictures how big all of their kids have gotten. I spent many of my childhood summers up in UT with Lisa, Bob and the kids. We had a lot of fun and they were always so good to me. I still think of these guys being about 1-6 year olds, not teenagers and adults. It is crazy how fast time goes by. Well, I hope you like your pictures, Lisa. I had a great time!

Jodi you are SO right about that barn ... it is FABULOUS! But I also love the pictures on the rocks. I have a soft spot in my heart for the amazing rocks around Prescott... reminds me of way back when I used to play together with my Boushley cousins around G&G's cabin... (sniff, sniff) those were good times!

Funny thing... in Central Park there are rocks that are very similar. --bettijo
